Hi, this website is in English as well as German. I love languages, sound and music! My name is Jella Jost, born in Vienna and I am a passionate voice-teacher, singer, author and illustrator. Here you can enjoy some of my visual art or music or productions.

I pursued a career in acting and singer-song writing, in theaters like Schauspielhaus Wien, Wiener Festwochen, Volkstheater, Accordion-Festival, Jewish Museum, Theater der Jugend and many many others.

In 2012, I began to teach voice and speech intensively in acting schools and on a private level with professional actors. I also studied German as a foreign/second language in Viennas University and like to teach German as well on special locations like the prison (Justizanstalt in German) in Vienna. Currently I teach at Colleges for Pedagogic, Academy of Art, as well as at an inclusive acting school in Vienna. I also shoot for TV films like or playing a woman in jail in a TV series. So that matches! Furthermore I continue with my own development of voice through a one year course in voice-technique in Germany (Lichtenberger Institut für angewandte Stimmphysiologie) and I started to teach at the inclusive actinginstitute Delphin in Vienna.

As an artist, I push boundaries and I hope I left an impact on the artists scene and my audience in Vienna during the years 2000 until 2010 and beyond. My artistic journey and some intense life experiences taught me the importance of perseverance, creativity, and staying true to one’s unique vision. Now, getting older, I return to what I deeply love, playing music, listening to sound, creating compositions, combined with the work of filmmakers.
